Henley Alumni Association Malaysia (HAAM) annual dinner 2018 was held at the Empire Hotel, Subang on 20th January 2018. Dr. Shelen Ho was invited as the special guest and key note speaker for the evening. Dr. Shelen Ho gave a talk on Creating Shared Value (CSV), the current big idea and trend for business.
Dr. Shelen Ho explained that CSV is a more sophisticated form of capitalism, is self-sustaining and is in-built into the business model as compared to Corporate Social Responsibility which is often one off and not self-sustaining. Applied correctly, CSV is able to reinvent capitalism and unleash a new wave of growth and innovation for business in the words of Michael E. Porter and Mark Kramer.
The talk was very interesting and well received by the members with many interesting questions being raised during question time. HAAM would like to thank Dr. Shelen Ho for giving us this very interesting talk.
The President of HAAM, Dato' Yap Kuak Fong presented life membership certificate to members who paid up the life membership subscription. Dr. Shelen Ho was also presented with her life membership certificate during the ceremony.
