Henley Business School Special Reception for Alumni in Malaysia

On Monday, 3rd April 2017, Professor John Board, Dean of Henley Business School, together with Jean-Pierre Choulet, Director of Development, Alumni Relations & Engagement, Henley Business School and Gudrun Kuhlmeier, Head of Alumni Relations & Events, Henley Business School, hosted a special alumni reception at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Kuala Lumpur for past graduates of Henley Business School in Malaysia. The purpose of the special reception was to present past graduates of Henley Business School in Malaysia with new Henley Business School Alumni Certificates and to re-connect these alumni in Malaysia with Henley Business School. Some 35 graduates attended this reception.

During the reception, the President of Henley Alumni Malaysia, Dato’ Yap Kuak Fong welcomed all the participants to the event. Professor John Board and Mr. Jean-Pierre Choulet gave candid and interesting presentations about the Henley Business School and Henley Alumni worldwide and Dr Mohd-Pisal Zainal, Associate Professor in Finance, Henley Business School, University of Reading Malaysia presented a talk on ‘The Internationalisation of Islamic Finance and the Role of International Educational Centres in Human Capital Development’. Past graduates were then presented with a new certificate each confirming their status as Henley Business School graduates and their association with the University of Reading as Henley Business School is now part of University of Reading.

Participants had a good time engaging and connecting with each other over drinks and food before and after the certificate presentation.
