Henley Alumni Association Malaysia (HAAM) annual dinner 2019 was held at the Empire Hotel, Subang on Friday, the 8th March 2019. HAAM were very honored this time to have Professor Dr. Teck Yong Eng and Dr. Shelen Ho joining the dinner. Professor Dr. Teck Yong Eng is the Head of Henley Business School in Malaysia and Dr. Shelen Ho is the Associate Professor of International Business and Strategy and Programme Head of Henley Business School (HBS) MBA programme Malaysia. Among the notable guests were Dr. James Maitland-Smith and wife, Mr. Wong Lian Kee, a past Chairman of HAAM, Mr. Hew Loke Meng, another past Chairman of HAAM and Mr.Lai Bang Kee, a past Vice Chairman of HAAM. Altogether some 30 guests attended the function. Four students of Dr. Shelen Ho also joined the dinner.
Professor Dr. Teck Yong Eng updated participants with the latest development at Henley Business School including the launch of Henley Live, the new online platform of Henley Business School to network alumni throughout the world on the same platform. Professor Eng urged all alumni to sign up with the platform to facilitate networking and keeping up with the latest development at Henley Business School.
Dr. Shelen Ho was invited as the key note speaker for the evening. Dr. Shelen Ho gave a very interesting talk complete with crowd participation entitled “Higher Business Education for the Fourth Industrial Revolution: A Science, an Art or a Craft”. The talk was very well received by the members with interesting viewpoints being offered by participants during the crowd participation session. HAAM would like to thank Dr. Shelen Ho for giving us this very interesting talk.
The dinner ended at around 11 pm after members were treated to a sumptuous dinner and all who turned up thoroughly enjoyed their evening together.
