The Henley Business School, University of Reading Malaysia, conducted its graduation ceremony on Saturday, 14th August 2021. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the graduation ceremony was conducted and broadcasted virtually online via YouTube. Some Executive Committee members of Henley Alumni Association Malaysia (HAAM) tuned in to the ceremony.
The ceremony started at 10.00 am with the macebearer leading academics of the University to enter the ceremony hall. Professor Wing Lam, Provost of the University addressed the ceremony after the national anthems of Malaysia and United Kingdom were played. This was then followed by presentation of degrees by Professor Dr. Teck Yong Eng by summoning each graduand by name. Professor John Board, the Dean of Henley Business School UK then presented his speech. This was followed by speech by Dato’ Yap Kuak Fong, the Chairman of HAAM. Dato’ Yap, congratulated the more than 100 graduands who received their scrolls today and also sponsored RM 2,400.00, amounting to RM300.00 to each of the 8 graduands who won best student awards. The event ended at around 11.30 am.
