Henley Business School Malaysia (HBSM), led by Professor Teck Yong Eng and Dr. Pisal Zainal together with Henley Alumni Association – Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan (HAAM), conducted a joint visit to the Education Ministry of the Sarawak State Government on 28th August 2023. The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibility of inviting the Sarawak Premier, Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Johari as the Patron of HAAM. Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Johari is a very prominent alumni of Henley Business School. Joining the visit from HAAM was the President of HAAM, Dato’ Yap and the Honorary Treasurer of HAAM Mr. Allen Cheong. Mr. Rudy Kana, Ms. Nur Amalina & Ms. Ammselaxmy from HBSM also joined the visit.
Y. Bhg. Tuan Haji Azmi Bin Haji Bujang, Permanent Secretary of Sarawak Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Ms. Sharifah Fariah Bt. Syed Junaidi, Assistant Secretary, Students Development and Ms. Wong Li Ching, Assistant Secretary, Students Development of Sarawak Ministry of Education, hosted the visitors from HBSM and HAAM. Professor Teck Yong Eng made a presentation on behalf of HBSM. In addition to inviting Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Johari as the patron of HAAM, HBSM is also exploring the possibility of setting up a Henley Business School in Kuala Lumpur, to develop symbiosis relationship between HAAM and the Patron and to explore future collaboration between HBSM and the Sarawak State particularly in the area of future human capital and talent development.
