The Henley Alumni Association Malaysia (HAAM) Johor Chapter organized a successful event called “Connect & Create: Henley Alumni Mixer and Sandwich Social” on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Sky 88 Serviced Apartment in Johor. The event brought together alumni, students from the Johor Chapter, and members of the Business, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Investment Society (BLEIS) Club. The event was organized by Edward Ng, with support from Dr. Shelen Ho, alumnus Chin Jia Le, Eunice Koh, and Ashley Goh. A total of 15 participants attended the event.
The session began with Edward Ng chairing and opening the event, followed by a short introduction from Dr. Shelen Ho. After the formalities, all alumni and students engaged in a do-it-yourself sandwich-making activity and later gathered for networking to learn from each other and the alumni. Some participants also enjoyed playing pool as a recreational activity.
The event provided an opportunity for alumni to catch up with each other and to learn about their current endeavors. Students actively participated and raised questions about their future career plans, including whether they should start off in Singapore and the difference between being a trader and working in treasury. It was beneficial to have alumni from different majors, including banking, marketing, real estate, and audit, in attendance.
The session concluded with a group photo-taking session. We are excited to look forward the student community to join our next event, the Annual Dinner in March 2024. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
