The University of Reading Malaysia and Henley Business School held their 2024 graduation ceremony on the 10th August 2024 at the Fraser Place Residensi & Hotel Marina, Johor Bahru. Henley Alumni Association Malaysia (HAAM) was represented by its Chairman, Dato’ Yap Kuak Fong & Mr. Simon Lee all the way from Subang. Mr. Edward Ng, the Chairman of the Johor Chapter, also came back from his work place in Singapore to attend the ceremony.
The University conducted a very well-rehearsed and solemn ceremony for the occasion. Provost of UoRM, Professor Dr. Wing Hong Lam gave the opening speech by congratulating students for successfully completing their studies through diligent, perseverance, and hard work. He encouraged students to continue to learn in this ever changing world. We witnessed more than 120 proud graduates for year 2024 receiving their hard-earn degree scrolls from the Vice-Chancellor of University of Reading, Professor Robert Van De Noort, who came all the way from Reading, UK for this special occasion. Dato’ Yap, HAAM’s Chairman, through HAAM, sponsored and presented prizes to the two award winning students from the Faculty of BA Business and Management and BSc Finance and Business Management of Henley Business School, UoRM.
Ms. Kausalya Ranie represented graduating students by giving a very humorous and uplifting speech to the delight of audiences. Professor Robert Van De Noort gave the concluding speech for the day by again encouraging students to continue to learn and make a difference to the world together and contributing to the environment and society.
Invited guests of the University joined the lunch at the coffee house of the hotel hosted by UoRM after the ceremony.
